I am running a single controller with 2x 4GB (that is what our FC switch is). I have 6x 450Gb 15k SAS Seagate drives. I am routing seeing performance based on "show vdisk-statistics" of around 170mb. This would seem normal for a single disk. However, when I add multiple disks to the vdisk, the performance stays the same. I am using IOMeter during the preparing disks section to measure throughput.
I am running ESXi 5.1U1. I have a host with a QLE 2462 and another host with a QLE2464 and am seeing the same performance.
Hi,
you check this setup:
- P2000G3 > Configuration > Advanced Settings > Cache
Sync Cache Mode = Immediate
- Volume ... > Configuration > Modify Volume Cache Settings
Write Policy = Write-Back
Hi,
When it comes to storage performance, it is important to consider the storage network topology. As I've seen your equipment, you only have one controller but have 2 FC switches, which is not ordinal network.
What kind of path selection policy do you use? Round robin, MRU(most recently use) or Fixed path?
The reason why I ask you is, it may be LUN ownership issue.
Best,
MAC
It is a single fiber channel switch.
