HP ML30 Gen10 Smart Array

I would like to install the ESXi on HP ML30 Gen10, and I set the Smart Array on RAID 1, however I cannot detect any HDD while I set on RAID.

And I have download VMware-ESXi-6.7.0-Update2-13006603-HPE-Gen9plus-670.U2.10.4.1.8-Apr2019, how can I fix it or make a custom ISO which support Smart Array.

Thanks!

The HPE Smart Array S100i SR appears to be a software raid controller.  This raid controller will likely not work under ESXi directly.  Your options are to either install a hardware raid controller in the ESXi box, or move the raid controller (if possible) into a different, external systems and use it for external storage (eg. iSCSI or NFS).

I think the RAID Controller for HP ML30 Gen10 should be HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10.

Thanks!

And as my post, I mentioned the custom ESXi image for HPE. Thanks!

Actually, HPE ML30 Gen9 is using HPE|Dynamic Smart Array B140i RAID Controller which is SoftwareRAID, but which is supported by ESXi 6.5. So I think Gen10 also be fine, but seems so sad now.
