HP Generation 9 Servers and 4 x 1GB iSCSI

It appears HP in their wisdom have removed support for 4 x 1GB iSCSI from their Gen 9 servers so they do not willingly offer an HBA/NIC to do this

Most HP adapters seem to have lost iSCSI support according to the VMware compatibility guide. Would another manufacturers card work in this server do you think?

Plenty of other manufacturers have support? I know we can go the software route just wanted to maximise the processing power for VM's.

I would also point out the server comes with 2 x 10gb ports that also do not support iSCSi I do wonder what HP were thinking?

Thoughts?

you could go with a normal quadport NIC and let vsphere handle the iSCSI...
