HP Cim Server Firewall rule

Hi

Got a weird Problem.

Enviroment:
HP C7000

12 BL460 G7 (all the same)

Vsphere 5 ent

Problem:
Some of the hosts automatically disable CimServer and Cim Secure Server Firewall rule on Host reboot.
Service is up an running.

Configuration is the same on all hosts (as far as I can say)

This happens on 4 out of 12 Hosts.

Has anyone seen this Problem?

Somenone got an Idea on how to troubleshoot it?

Thanks

I just noticed same behavior on few of my brand new HP DL380 ESX5 U1 server. Have you resolved the issue?

HI

No Problem still persists.

Found a tip but could not figure out what it means.

"Put CIM service in startup scripts, best in place s97 or s98."

If you have any Idea I'd appreciate very much Smiley Wink

Nice greetings

I think I know what the issue is. When host reboots the CIM service does not restart fast enough thou marking the Firewall rule as OFF. So changing startup order of the CIM service would resolve the issue. I need to figure out how to do it. The work around after reboot is to go to Host > Configuration > Security Profile > Firewall > Properties > Select CIM Secure Server > Click Options > Make sure the service is set to "Stop and Start with the Host" and click Restart. That sets the firewall rules back to correct value. I will let you know when I find the way to change startup order of the CIM service. Regards.
