HELP : VM Machine RDP Freeze

hi, I am using VMware ESX 4.0.0. win serv 2003 as vCenter and win 7 as host. and I have had problems for some hosts.

when the host application to retrieve data from a different server, the windows would freeze or not responding within 4 minutes. when using a desktop pc only takes 1 minute.

I've done some testing :

- Running an application through the vSphere client and run normally.

- Running applications via rdp running slow

- using the terminal client and running slow

is there a solution to this problem.?

sorry for my bad english

thank you

Hi,

i would recommend to examine your underlying Network infrastructure.

Maybe you have only a Duplex and Speed mismatch on your host.

there is no problem in the network infrastructure, I tried using a different IP segments and still experiencing the same problems. There are 23 hosts on a single ESX server, whether it affects the network trafic ?

Hi,

Thank you. Did you check your ressource on your ESX? do you have sufficient ressource?

Check on the tab performance of your virtual machine when you are connected in RDP, if you see CPU ready for example, of a lot of latencies maybe.

Julien.
