Hi Babak,

There could be many reason for which HA feature not working for second host on which there are 2 VMS

1) Pls verify if HA is configured properly on 2nd ESXi host, if not reconfigure it again.

2) Check if the CPU compatabilty is same for second ESxi host with thie 1st ESXi

3) Need to check if there is adéquate ressources available on second host on the 2nd host.

4) Pls verify if second host having same shared storage as 1st host having.

5) Also verify if you have not set any Affinity/Anti-Afinity rules of those VM, hope that not been configured from your end.

6) As you said you have configured vds into your VC, verify if they if the second host network configuration is set correct

Regards,

Sachin

>>Yes . It is required. Reason is, when there is host failure, VMs on failed host need to be restarted on available hosts in the cluster. Available host should see the VM files in order to restart the VMs, VM files will be only visible to available hosts if there is SHARED storage.

2 - All of my vms have to put on same shared storage?

>>>Yes, same reason as above.

Please  note that when host fails, vMotion(Migrate) does not come in picture. HA will un-register the VMs and re-register on available host in the cluster.  vMotion is primarily leveraged by DRS.

Its not necessary to migrate all vSwitch or ports to be migrated on DVS

You can keep management vSwitch as VSS, no worries into that.
