HA LICENSE QUESTION

Dear.

we a vsphere 4.1 HA cluster witch has 3 hosts with all 2 processors.

We want to add 2 hosts also with 2 processors each to this cluster but when I add the license the error appears: license is not valid for this product.

this is the license: VMware vSphere 5 Enterprise for 1 processor (with 64 GB vRAM entitlement per processor)

Is this the wrong license,..

thanks for all the reply`s

best regrads

Yes, you'll need another license.  If you have a two socket Host, you'll need a two socket license.

vSphere 5 licenses are different.  If you are managing vSphere4 and vSphere5 Hosts, you'll need to upgrade vCenter first, then apply the vSphere5 license and add in the new ESXi5 Host.  Otherwise you'll need to downgrade the VMware vSphere 5 Enterprise for 1 processor (with 64 GB vRAM entitlement per processor) to vSphere4.  This can be done through your license portal.
