Guest not detecting NIC (Vmware/Vsphere)

I was running 2003 server but was having password issues. So I installed 2003 server through iso image but its not detecting NIC. If i click edit settings i can see its connected but if go to console in network connection I cannot find or see NIC. How Do I install or configure server so that its back online.

Welcome to the Community,

depending on the virtual NIC you choose when you create the VM (or add a NIC), you may need to add the drivers manually. Usually this is done by installing the VMware tools. If you want Windows 2003 to detect the NIC out of the box, select the E1000 adapter in the virtual hardware.
