Guest Memory Limit Set?

I have been doing some troubleshooting regarding some ballooning on a resource pool I have setup. I roughly have 65 VMs in this pool and while I was poking around I randomly noticed a guest memory limit was set on a majority of the VMs.

I know by default the memory limit is set to unlimited. Besides someone manually setting a memory limit does anyone know how a limit could get set? As a general rule of thumb we never really configure limits/reservations at the guest level and primarily manage everything from the resource pool level, so I am a little lost how these limits got configured.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

If you're asking about how a memory limit can be set on individual VMs, it's possible that if they were deployed from OVA/OVF that a limit was specified. If that isn't the case, there's no other way for a limit to be set than for someone (or something) to do so.
