when i do a

esxcli storage nmp path list on my esxi host I see this

   Path Selection Policy Path Config: PSP VMW_PSP_RR does not support path configuration.

What does active unoptimized mean? my nmp is Round robin on the lun and the backend storaghe is a cx4 clarion

Active Unoptimized (ANO) means that the round robin selection will use unoptimized and optimized paths reported by the storage processor.
