Graphical corruption when trying to install ESXi 5.5

Hello.

I have a new server and when installing VMware ESXi 5.5 update 1 the installer experiences graphical corruption (the screen shows random moving pixels of strange colours). Other operating systems can be installed, such as Ubuntu, and the BIOS can be accessed. It's only when the disk with the VMware installer starts the graphics go crazy. I contacted the tech support of the company we bought the server from and they said there was no known compatibility issues and to contact VMware. The motherboard is a X10SLM+-LN4F by Super Micro.

Welcome to the Community,

did you try another monitor to see whether this is a frequency/synchronization issue?
