Need to write function in which i need to wait till ping commands returns success for specific amount of time..plz help me.

Actuly i've done PXE boot of ESXi on specified host.Now i Need to check whether it's installed or not properly and also need to check whether installed version on host is same as i specified..
i need to do this using powershell/powerCLI functions
