Fujitsu Raid Manager ESXi 5.0

Hello.

I recently setup a Fujitsu RX300 S5 server with ESXi 5.0, and it works like a charm, just except that I cannot access the Raid manager.

I tried using the AMCli as stated in the ServerView Manual at the Fujitsu website, but that doesnt work for my ESXi 5.0 installation (Works fine for my 4.0)

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Regards,

Frederik Nielsen

Hi,

Have you looked this link :

http://manuals.ts.fujitsu.com/

-> BUSINESS Products -> QUICK ACESS -> Search by product: ServerView RAID.

Just a little question, your raid is a SAS or SATA.

best regards

The manuals won't help me. Are there somebody else who get the Raid Manager running on ESXi 5.0?

Hello

This question is irrelevant now, as we switched to a iSCSI solution instead, and therefore didnt need to run any raid mgmt on the ESXi's.

Hello

I've found a solution to get these running.

U can install the Raid Manager on a vHost. Windows 2008 R2 for example.

Then u have to go with a cmd console to the Raid Manager Directory. (bin)

And use the amCLI command who's discribed in the manual.

U have the open the Windows Firewall (outgoing) on port 5989, this is very importent.

The UFM Device must be installed from the Fujitsu CD because in ESXi 5 the only way to get get information out of the hardware is CIM.

The installation CD from Fujitsu installs the CIM Provider for all Fujitsu tools.

Christian

Hi!

I've a very similar problem:

After the ServerView RAID manager on a Centos 6.2 - 64 bit - VM, I can start it and access via web browser to the page, but I can't see my controller, I only see this:

ServerView RAID 1.png

Have you solved your issue?

If there are still problems here then there was an issue with previous versions of ServerView RAID.
