Free vSphere Fundamentals Training with purchase of Essentials?

Hi,

I have a choice of purchasing vSphere Essentials from a reseller or from the online store.  Before contacting the reseller, I noticed that VMware offers free vSphere Fundamentals Training with purchases online.

Has anyone taken this training and is it any good?

Could I also get it if I purchase Essentials from the reseller for free or is it only available for direct purchases from VMware's online store?  This might be a question for customer service but people on this forum seem to know everything:-)

I haven't taken that particular class but I've done a couple of other VMware classes.   All have been good in my opinion.

I believe I have seen the training offered through distributors as well. I would check with your reseller. If you already have a relationship with a reseller for hardware or software it is probably worth getting it from the reseller.

As for the value it will depend on your level of familiarity with the product. As with most training, if you get one new insite or revelation it is worth something.
