Hi Everyone,
I need to deploy 40-50 machines for a single project. This is the first we've had with so many machines being deployed at once point.
They will all be Windows 2012 machines, some will be joined to domain A, some will be joined to domain B. Some of these machines will be creating these domains. They will all require static IP address and will vary on CPU/RAM/Number of disks and capacity of disks.
VCAC does seem like what we need but for a one-off project it seems like it'll take too long to implement, test and get ready for what we need it to do.
So, aside from that, can someone please help me assess the options I have?
Thanks,
It will still be somewhat manual but have you considered of just deploying the machines form a template?
Hi,
Yes, we already have templates. but still will be very time consuming to do so.
So scripting is certainly your friend, but the time it takes to modify existing scripts or write news ones can grow quickly. If you can't automate most or all of it with whatever tools, the right answer is project management and setting realistic expectations. How many folks do you have available to deploy VMs?
All the best,
Mike
