My company has just changed hands and we have been pulled into their vSphere Server environment but they dont use Update Manager for patching. my host is running ESXi 4.1.0 (381591) and before we moved my Update Manager said they were missing Complete Update 1.
When i look at the downloads page the verstion number that my hosts are running is higher than the CU1. I noticed one more patch that was higher than mine but that won't install - do I need the U1 installed first regardless of the version number?
I'm also hitting a bug which support site says is fixed in U1.
Needless to say I am trying to get update manager installed on the VIC in the new company.
