Firewall issues?

Hi all

I am looking to see if anyone has a way to check port connectivity FROM the esxi host.

Telnet is not a built in command on esxi.

An easy way to check for a blocked port is to telnet ip port from a system.

However with esxi lack of telnet command that wont work.

has anyone found a method to do this so i can show my firewall admins who swear up and down it isnt a port issue, that it is a port issue

Depending upon how the firewall is configured (IP or subnet ACLs), potentially put a VM on the management network and try to telnet from it?
