Fibre card not showing in storage adapters

Hi all,

I've got an HP 560SFP+ fibre card running in my vsphere 5.5 esx host.  Network is working fine over it but it does not appear as a storage adapter in vsphere/vcenter.  I have many other hosts running on the same network and connecting to LUNs on our SAN via fibre channel.

I installed the driver from here:

https://my.vmware.com/group/vmware/details?downloadGroup=DT-ESXI55-INTEL-IXGBE-32143&productId=353

Only options I get in the add adapter dialogue are FCoE and iSCSI.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello!

Have you tried re-seating the card? If you have and it still doesn't recognise then perhaps try it in a different host to see if it picks up, if it doesn't then possibly a DOA?

Afaik the HP 560SFP+ is an Ethernet Adapter, i.e. doesn't provide FC functionality.
