I am using a Intel(R) Xeon(R) E-2176M CPU @ 2.70GHz processor and running ESXi on it. I have a Ubuntu VM running as well. This is a customized board with some temperature sensors connected to the SMBUS.
I want to passthru the Intel device 8086:a323 device to the Ubuntu VM to discover a SMBUS device. I tried adding
8086 a323 d3d0 default
to the /etc/vmware/passthru.map file but the entry in the Host->Manage->Hardware->PCI Devices is still grayed out. I can see that this worked for 4 other pci lines that 8086:a328 thru 8086:a32b and that worked.
Any help would be appreciated
