I’m trying to configure email notification when something happen in my VMware infrastructure (version 5.5).
I configured SMTP server and sender account
But when alarm appear I have error:
"An error occurred while sending email notification of a triggered alarm
Failed to send email for a triggered alarm
Action: Check the vCenter Server SMTP settings for sending email notifications"
From SMTP server side looking into log I found that value "from" is different which I set in vSphere
EHLO - +vCenterApp 250 0 196 15 0 SMTP - - - -
MAIL - +From:<root@vCenterApp> 250 0 40 37 0 SMTP - - - -
RCPT - +To:<MyEmail@My.Domain> 250 0 42 39 0 SMTP - - - -
DATA - +<201609191207.u8JC7PLR018561@vCenterApp> 250 0 124 1077 234 SMTP - - - -
QUIT - vCenterApp 240 234 68 4 0 SMTP - - - -
My SMTP server accept only sender "notifikacje@My.Domain"
Anyone know how to fix it?
