Failed to get VFlash Cache stats - ESXi 6.0

Hi,

I am seeing this in the vmkernel logs, a lot, I note there is a patch for 5.5 but am unable to find anything for 6.0

Any suggestions or pointers as to what can be done as a fix?

This is occuring because of CBT issue in vmware 6.0 .

Please go through this KB  VMware KB: Backing up a virtual machine with Change Block Tracking (CBT) enabled fails after upgradi...

This will fix the problem.

Thanks for your response, however I am not sure how you got to that point as the KB you note has no relation to VFlash only CBT, which is not related in this instance.

I should also mention that the ESX box is up to the latest 6.0 patch level.

I see you have responded to a few questions and provided dubious information.

Hi Toby,

I think this was linked in the above post to CBT because of the following for 5.5

VMware KB: vCenter Server performance metrics for Flash Read Cache do not display for virtual machin...

As you say though no such fix exists for 6.0.

Sorry im not able to help further but may give you somewhere else to investigate.
