Failed to create Virtual Machine VM. VMDK file exist.

Hello,

I am creating a VM, but when I give a brand new name, it says vmdk file exist with that name. How can I resolve this issue? Can you please take a look at that attachment?

I tried on multiple esxi 6.5 version. Still have the same issue.

Re-check the complete inventory , if you have any VM already existing with that name.

Browse the datastore where you are trying to create a VM and check if there is any folder already existing with the name what you have given.

if the VM name and the folder name where its files are located differ (for example, if you changed the VM name), then you need to do storage vMotion.

The folder name will match the VM name.
