Hi All,
I am attempting to enable Fault Tollarence on two ESXi 5.0.0 build 504890 hosts, that are nested on top of one ESXi 5.0.0 build 504890 host which is an HP GL380G6 with a single quad core Intel Xeon E5540 processor. I am following the directions posted hhttp://www.virtualizationguru.org/2012/06/enabling-ft-on-vm-under-nested-esxi-5.html as well as posted here http://vinf.net/2009/06/07/vsphere-cannot-enable-ft-for-a-nested-vm/
When I power on my nested ESXi hosts and I check to see if they are compliant it always still comes up with
Fault Tolerance is not supported on this host. Reason: incompatibleCpu
Power Management is not supported on this host.
I have noticed that when I power them down even though I set replay.supported = true it keeps getting reset to false.
Anyone know why this would happen? I am guessing that this is my problem.
As always your help is apreciated. I am trying to get a good lab setup for my VCAP-DCA studying.
