Extend a SCSI thick provisioned disk?

So it looks like it is possible to extend a SCSI thick provisioned disk.  This is not something I do very often so does anyone have any notes on this?  Looks like any snapshots need to be deleted first.  This is for a Windows 2008 server.   Thanks for the help.

Yes, this is possible with thin provisioned disks too.

Basically you will make sure the VM has no snapshots, increase the disk to the desired size in the virtual machine properties editor, and then use the extend volume function inside the windows disk management console.
