Expend VDisk Take Long Time

Hi.

My situation

1. Current VDisk size 200Gb at VM ESXi ver 5.0.0
2. Copy current VDisk to new VM Host VM ESXi ver 6
3. Want to expend VDisk from 200Gb to 1.2Tb (Total datastore1 size = 1.9Tb)
   • Expend from 200Gb to 1.2Tb at Edit Setting > Hard disk 2 > Disk Provisioning > Provisioned Size
   • Press OK

Question:

1. Why process take so long time to complete? After 3 hours still not complete.

what is disk type you are using. If it is thick eager zeroes it will take time to zeroed out the space you reserverd.
