I have a number of esx boxs that that point to our storage target. Its a ISCSI SSD Hybrid SAN via a 10GB connection. We are using MPIO and RR. (its all set up correclty)
Each ESX host has 2 1GB nics for ISCSI and 2 1GB Nics for LAN traffic.
When we try to do real life file copies of large ISOs of 5 GB between Win2008r2 boxes we can only get max 60MB/s (even when VMs are on same host)
When a physical win2008r2 box copies the same ISO to a VM we can get around 110 MB/s
Why is there such a difference? Is this expected? Where can i look to troubleshoot?
