Exception 14, megasas

Hi all,

I've been experiencing this PSOD out of the blue:

for the last 3 or so days. I've updated it to 5.5.0 build 2143827 now (I've also installed all the updates in between) and I'm just wondering if that was the fix for it?

This machine is pretty mission critical so I was just wondering if that should fix it.

Also, it seems to hang at the Coredump to disk stage and never actually writes anything to disk.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try to reach VMWare Support. They have the ability to read the PSOD logs and can tell you the faults in your Machine. Thanks.

Exception 14 is a paging fault generally meaning it can actually be hardware being the issue, but I have seen cases where disabling the bios power mode has fixed these issues. for example if its HP tin move it to OS control or full power modes from hp dynamic power saving mode which is default.

Hi,

you should also upgrade bios and firmware of that server, mainly controller...
