Examples for test of hypervisor

Hi

I'm writing a bachelor thesis and as part of the research work plans to test the hypervisors.

Thinking, for example, to install the system with a database and tested how they perform these tasks and what is resource usage.

The second problem is how I can credibly measure the performance of these systems.

Do you have any idea what I might test and how measure it?

I user Esxi,Hyper-V and XenServer
