Esxi installation issue

Hi ,

I am installing Esxi-5.0 on i3 system .

Previously this system was 4 GB RAM and now we have upgraded to 8GB x 2 = 16 GB

After upgrading the RAM I am unable to install Esxi .

I started the installation ----->Boot from CD------->after first screen , it is stucked @ starting VMkernel initialization.....

And system get hang.

Please help.....

To test the memory you can use Memtest: http://www.memtest.org/

You may also have a corrupt ESXi install image, however if you have successfully installed with the disk before that's probably not your issue.

Have you run any memory diagnostics to see if the ram is faulty?

It's not VMware thing, you need to get some tools to run a memory check on the ram (I have always used the  Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool)
