Esxi free license not detecting connected HBA

I have few questions on this,

1. I m running free version of VMware and is there any limitation on using Fiber HBA with the connected direct attached storage.

It's not a matter of licensing, but more of the installed drivers.
Did you already check https://www.vmware.com/go/hcl to find out if your HBA is supported, and whether it needs an additional driver?
