Esxi best practice raid

i was wondering which is better for ESXi VMs : Pool of Raid 5 (4+1) or Raid 5 (8+1)

i have only SAS drives (1.2TB size each) on EMC Unity 300

please help

What type of workloads/applications are you going to host in VM's  ?  If this is a mixed workload environment i would recommend start with Raid 5(4+1)
