Esxi 6.0 Shutdown issue

Hi, I have a strange issue with vSphere Esxi 6.0 Update 2.

When I shutdown my server with the physical button, my VM is poweroff immediatly. Esxi don't wait the end of Windows.

When I shutdown from the esxi console (F12 reboot), my VM is poweroff gracefully after the end of Windows.

Why this is different ?

Is there an option to activate somewhere ?

My need is to have a gracefully poweroff from the physical button.

Thanks for help.

ESXi never look that you virtual machine powered off or not, if it is in HA cluster vm will power on other host

When you press F12 all services stopped first on ESXi, in mean time just you can observe that vm is going to power off.

You need to shutdown gracefully manually , of if you have cluster then set vm as grace fully shutdown in HA cluster (Virtual machine option) ->> host isolation response

It is not a HA cluster and I have activated the stop of my VM when the exsi is power off.

This configuration used to work very well with esxi 5.5.

Is there a bug in esxi 6.0 ?

After severals tries, it seems that esxi stop only the VM that were started automatically.

Is it to possible (with a script) to force client shutdown when esxi stop ?
