Surely your switch will allow 802.1x to be setup only on specific ports, eg, every port but the ones your server is connected to.

It would be rare for something like your router to support 802.1x so this is generally a requirement.

This would be your solution.

Dear vmroyal,

Firstly thnk u for your answer,

now need your opinion, I have esxi 5.1 installed,my guest os on it all win7.my problem is some people come office and plug their notebooks to my internet cables and access in my network,ı looked around and found best protection is 802.1x.So my os are all on esxi 5.1 no body can access them directly they are in secure but,ı dont want people access or use my internet cable,I will use 802.1x on my switch but ı dont want esxi server effected from this(u told it not supported) so esxi server must work because guest os on it are in domain and must access to fileserver which is in 802.1x authentication.without effecting esxi server getting ip adress from switch or network, what can ı do ?

Best Regards!
