Esxi 4.0 - Route based on IP Hash - Mac Flapping

Hello guys,

I am using two ESXI 4.0 servers. Each one are directly connected to one switch.

One of my server is 'flapping'. I don't really why this one is flapping, because the other server have the same configuration for the vswitch.

The only difference I found is that the switch which is flapping  does not have the following setting :

port-channel load-balance src-dst-ip

could this setting explain the flapping does not occur on the first switch ?

Yes, that's definitely the reason for the flapping. IP-Hash sends the traffic trough all uplinks using the same MAC address, that's why you need to configure EtherChannel/Link Aggregation on the physical switch in combination with with IP-Hash.
