EsXI CD trouble ml110 gen9

Hi All,

I've searched a lot but not find a solution yet:

I've a ml110 gen9, with integrated b140i smart array raid (i know it's a software raid)

I've set the server with raid1, using smart array, and installed the custom Esxi both version 6 and 6.5 with HPE drivers integrated.

I can install and deploy Virtual machines using ISO images, but not possible to connect the host CD/DVD:

this is the client, but the web client in version 6.5 give same problems

it seems that doesn't exist the CD drive

Any idea?

Hi Alz77

Please make sure the VM is powered off before attempting to do that.

Check the below KB article:

Configure a Host Device Type for the CD/DVD Drive in the vSphere Web Client

Just to add more infromation:

setting drive in AHCI sata mode I've this storage:

I can use the cd, but not the raid array.

reinstalling everithing with dynamic array mode:

I can use raid, but not CD....

I suppose is something in HPE driver or similar.
