Error loading /vsan.v00 - Fatal Error: 6 (Buffer too small)

ESXi 6.5 host is halting after reboot .  Server does boot from SAN LUN.   Any ideas on what could be causing this particular issue all of a sudden ?

Usual cause of these types of messages is due to boot media corruption.

for esxi which is installed on the flash disk
1. Download Vmware esxi iso,
2. open the ISO file that has been downloaded in windows explorer etc : VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.7.0-8169922.x86_64.iso
3. Search file vsan.v00
