Error: 25030. Setup failed to load a kernel driver (vmrawdsk)

I am trying to install VMware tools on a Windows 2008 R2 Standard (64-bit) and when I run the Vmware_Tools64.msi installer I get the error: Error: 25030. Setup failed to load a kernel driver (vmrawdsk) after Checking hardware acceleration settings in the setup. Clicking OK rolls back the install.

My VM settings are:

1 CPU

4GB RAM

4MB Video RAM

I tried increasing the VIDEO RAM to the max and adjusting my screen resolution but it did not solve the problem.

i've faced this error before..

please ensure that u install the program after finished updating the windows, and the windows is activated.

next, run the vmwaretools while u were logged in as a local admin..

give a try, hope that works.
