ESXi500-201305401-BG switches to UEFI mode ?

After applying ESXi500-201305401-BG on some IBM x3650 M2 & M3, ESXi 5.0 didn't boot anymore.

It seems the boot mode was automatically switched to UEFI mode.

IBM tip H197457 documents a fix.

Anyone else seen this ?

Shouldn't this be mentioned in the patch KB ?

Dear friend,

I think, the patch can't change you system BIOS settings/your system firmware, you should check it then back to BIOS mode.

I agree, but the patch could have changed the bootbank config file of the ESXi.
