ESXi version suitable for Windows 8

which one is the latest build number  Esxi 5.0 -515841, 768111... which is the suitable for windows8 vm ... i have update 515841 but windows8 is not installing

Hi,

the compatibility Guide says you need at least 5.0 U1 with patch ESXi500-201209001.

You could also update to 5.0 U2 which current Build Number is 914586.

Or upgrade to 5.1.

I think you should try 5.0 U2 first, since your vCenter Server 5.0 can still manage the hosts then.

For ESXi 5.1 you would need to upgrade your vCenter to 5.1 first, which is quite a large upgrade.
