ESXi upgrade from 5.1 to 5.5 storage question

Is it still best practice to remove the SAN LUNs when doing an inplace upgrade or was that just for the initial installs?  I'm using update manage to do the upgrade if that matters.

It's been awhile Smiley Happy

We use converged 10GB ports for everything, so to remove the LUNs I'd have to do it on the storage side, not just disabling a nic Smiley Sad

thanks,jb

Removal of the SAN LUNs isn't something you need to do during an upgrade of ESXi, but it has been an advised practice for initial installation so you don't mistakenly choose the wrong disk target.
