(ESXi) rd1000 under guest not refreshing his content

Hi,  I have a removable drive (RD1000) connected to a guest OS  (Windows Server 2008 R2).  I am able to write to the disk but the weird thing is that even if I change the drive I still see the old data when I browse it.  As an example if I make a backup on the drive, I see the files listed on the disk, I remove the backup drive and put an empty one in place, I still see the backup files when I browse the disk.  Looks like the drive content is not refreshing or something.

Any help will be very appreciated

Thanks in advance

Mike

I would do a search through the forums for rd1000. I know there have been some posters who worked on this for a while. I have my doubts.

I back up to one of these drives using ghettoVCB. I had the same issue (though it was not in the guest OS) and I got this working in the shell by adding the following line

esxcfg-rescan -u vmhba32

into the ghettoVCB.sh configuration.
