ESXi limitation on number of virtual servers?

I have heard that the ESXi 4 Single Server (free) edition has a limitation of only supporting 4 virtual servers. Is this correct?

not true, 4 vCPU's per guest, but not 4 guest per ESXi Host

See this

...and maybe this too

OK. Just to confirm, based on Table 3 in the configuration maximums I can have up to 320 virtual machines per host. Now it does say that this table relates to ESX host compute resources. I just want to confirm that this also applies to ESXi.

On page 1

The Configuration Maximums for vSphere 4.0 and vSphere 4.0 Update 1 covers ESX, ESXi, and vCenter Server.

I saw that also. Thanks for your help. By the way have you actually installed more than four virtual machines on a ESXi single server host?
