ESXi host is shwoing the ip address, but not the name of the host in Vcenter

I added another host today, but this one I connected to it the same way, but in Vcenter it is displaying the ip address and not the hostname. The one I added yesterday displays the name of the host not the ip address. I double checked the dns and routing and its correct, but Vcenter is showing the ip address still. How can I change it?

you added to host using FQDN, I assume?  What about DNS itself? Is this ESXi Host a record on your DNS Server?

Take care that the dns is a very important part of the vsphere.

Add the fqdn and hostname in your dns servers. Be aware to respect the uppercase or lowercase.

Check the resolution in both, vcenter and esx.
