Also After installing usb What should I check?  # Check that you are able to create data store / raid controller is detecting

Can disk recognition be done after usb installation?? # Need to check if driver is tehr else you can install the vib file to esxi and reboot and try if success you can create custom iso from there.

I have to install esxi on the local disk.# Use power cli to create iso / install esxi on usb and install driver verify and create iso from there

Power CLi -

Using vSphere ESXi Image Builder to create an installable ISO that is not vulnerable to Heartbleed -...

GUI-  it need an existing setup because it using auto deploy

Hi ,

Download the raid controller driver  and create custom iso and try .

Driver -  Download VMware vSphere

Also you can connect a USB device ( 8-16 GB ) on this server and install esxi and check . But for creating Data store with internal HDD raid controller should detect

If you want, there's an easy alternative for creating a custom ISO image.

The above assumes that PowerCLI is already installed.

1.) Create a directory structure, e.g. c:\temp\pkg

2.) Download the latest ESXi-Customizer-PS from https://www.v-front.de/p/esxi-customizer-ps.html

--> save "ESXi-Customizer-PS-v2.5.ps1" in "c:\temp"

3.) Download the latest driver from Adaptec - Adaptec Driver: Adaptec RAID Driver v1.2.1-52040 for VMware Download Detail

--> extract "aacraid-6.0.6.2.1.52040-offline_bundle-6308160.zip" to "c:\temp\pkg"

4.) Open powershell, change the directory to c:\temp, and run:

.\ESXi-Customizer-PS-v2.5.ps1 -v60 -pkg .\pkg

This will create a custom ESXi 6.0 ISO with the latest patches as well as required driver.
