ESXi Web Console and Remote Console stopped working on Linux host in CLI mode

Having a very strange problem with ESXi Web and Remote console.

I can no longer use the consoles on all my Linux vms that are in CLI mode. If they have a desktop, they work. All have vmtools installed and no new updates have been applied. Currently running 7.0 Update 3.

The screen comes up but the keyboard and mouse wont work except to change TTYs.

I have tried on numerous workstations and virtual desktops with same results. I tried with different accounts are well in case roles were a problem. I also tried from vCenter and from ESXi directly with same results.

I have also rebooted just to see if anything changed and nothing changed.

It now appears to be a persistent problem with this ESXi server.

Here's a vmware.log from one VM:

So tried on MAC in Safari and it works.

Sounds like a Chrome update issue maybe?

Looking into now...

Man, weird problem, turned out to be something to do with the usb driver in my workstation and my switchbox. After a complete power down/restart of my workstation it works again. Weird how it was so selective of Linux CLI console? I realized something was up when I was typing and some of my keys we not working in a doc I was about to work on!

Anyway, I hate it, but workstation power cycle fixed it!

Cheers!
