Hello,
during an ESXi kickstart installation I get the following errors:
1. Could not bring up network (Did not get an IP address from DHCP server)
Press <Enter> to continue.
-or-
2. Could not bring up network (Did not get an IP address from DHCP server)
Wait or press <Enter> to continue.
In case of 1 the installation requires an interaction or it stops.
Does anynbody know how to overcome the DHCP? The installation is done by remote console (DELL iDRAC Virtual CD mounted) so an IP address is not required.
I suppose it has to do with boot.cfg:
kernelopt=netdevice=vmnic0 bootproto=dhcp ks=cdrom:/KS/KS.CFG
Is there any documentation about the bootproto options?
regards,
Anatinus
