ESXi Reinstall New Disk

Hello, I Have ESXi Installed on a Seperate 500GB HDD, I have a second 240GB SSD with 8 SAS where the VMs are installed. I would like to put ESXi onto the 240GB SSD and use the 500GB for a datastore for ISOs and such. Would I lose the VMs by just formatting the HDD and SSD?

The SSD is the smallest drive I have at the moment, Thats why I was going to run it from there. Also No VMs are on the SSD or HDD they are on the SAS Drives

The VM's are flat files. They are not dependent on ESX. As long as you dont format the drive with those files you should be able to change your configuration. You will need to copy your VM files to your larger datastore in some way. If you have vSphere, you can do that with a storage migration. Once you have ESX installed on your smaller disk, you will need to browse to the VM files and register them with the host.
