ESXi Host vSphere Client hangs

Hello,

we are running a ESXi host (Version 4.x).

At the moment when I try to manage the VMs the vSphere Client hangs.

I have to kill it by the taskmanager.

Is there a management tool or a console where I can see what is going wrong to fix the problem(s) ?

Can someone help ?

Thank you very much

Kind regards,

Roland

does it happen randomly? is there any changes made to your system before this symptom? how about another PC?

no, it happens the first time.

(we are new to VMware)

We did not change anything.

Can I connect via ssh to the host ?

(root/rootpassword)

the ESXi Host was hanging.

I did a reset of the server hardware, now VMs are running.

but I would like to know what happened, and what instruments to use to gather the desired information.
