ESXi EVC mode

vCenter6.0 u3 , ESXi 6.0 u3

esxi cpu - Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU-E5-2699 v3 @ 2.3GHz

esxi cpu - Intel(R) Xeon(R) Platinum 8180 CPU @ 2.5GHz

Do I need to set EVC mode for vmotion between the two servers?

Yes, because the CPUs are from different generations and offering different features. A VM which starts on a modern type of cpu cant migrate to a old one which most likely offer less features.

Enable EVC Mode Broadwell or Haswell (you need the older one... first in the List). You need to place the Host with the 8180 into MM.
