ESXi 8 evaluation won't install, I'm a newbie to this

Any help is greatly appreciated !    Trying to run this on a Dell Latitude with an i7 (4 cores) and 32 GB RAM.   Maybe that is my issue ??

1.  I've installed vmware Workstation Player and am trying to add an ESXi for evaluation.

2. I've dowloaded the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi ISO) image version 8

3. When I try to Create a New Virtual Machine with the .iso image ... it creates the ESXi but when I click play it eventually fails with this error 'the system has found a problem on your machine and cannot continue, failed to decompress vmx.v00, status ; Admission check failed for memory service'

Hi,

According to the documentation, which I suggest you read, among other things:
"ESXi 8.0 requires a minimum of 8 GB of physical RAM. Provide at least 12 GB of RAM to run virtual machines in typical production environments".

Doesn't it seem to you that with only 2 Gigabytes of RAM perhaps it's really too little for it to work.
